A-Choo!!!

I have a cold. I wake up every 4am trying to see if I can cough up a toenail (so far, hasn't happened). My nose feels like the construction workers outside that wake me up every morning at 8am have snuck in and poured cement in it.
Thank heavens for decongestants (that you now have have to ask the pharmacist for!), and thank the good heavens above for nose spray. Seriously.....what wonderful stuff. Who cares that it's just as harsh on your nose as cocaine. Doesn't matter that the more you use, the more you *have* to use (like cocaine!). Go ahead snork it up, open up those sinus passages. Breathe free as God intended.

AAHHHHH.

Top Song

VH-1 (MTV for those of us who've outgrown "Real World) just played the series "Top 100 songs of the 80's" What a flash from the past!!! Wham (who knew that Andrew was straight, and George was the gay one???), U2, the Go-Go's, Ratt, Whitesnake!!! They had them all! And who, you ask, recorded the number one song of the 1980's? I thought for sure it would be Michael Jackson's Thriller. But WAIT!!!! NO!! It isn't Wacko-Jacko!!!

It was my beloved Bon Jovi and their anthem: Livin' on a Prayer.

Now, as someone who remembers when this orginally hit, I can vouch for the pure greatness of this song. Few can match it. Few can belt out that high note. But we all become just a little bit of a rocker when we hear it.

*SIGH*
