Signs of Spring

Spring has sprung! How do I know this? Birds are singing, bees are buzzing, it's daylight both before AND after work. And what's the most obvious sign? Marley gets a haircut!

So, obviousley.....not a happy kitty. According to one of the groomers, it took three....yep.....THREE of them to hold him down! Three people, one cat. Now there's a Kodak moment.

And of course, as soon as I got him home, he totally let me have it! He looked right up at me and loudly and vocally let me know how totally not happy he was. Then he walked into the living room and coughed up a hairball.

Point made. (but he'll still get shaved again next year!)

CHICAGO!!!!

HOO-AH!! I'm back in Chicago. Ok, so it's only for the weekend....but it's a LONG weekend! Of course, it would seem I've brought the rain and gloomy weather with me. By the way, whoever called California "the Sunshine State", obviously did not spend a significant amount of time there, and apparently while there, they were smoking crack. Because it has been rain, rain, rain for I don't know how long.

But I digress (get used to it). I'm back in Chicago for a visit. And it's wierd. Everything is familiar, but, at the same time, UNfamiliar. Wierd.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. If you ever have the chance to visit Chicago....GO! I can't say enough good things about it. But go in the late spring or summer. Never in winter or early spring or you'll freeze your tu-tu off!
