Swish! Swish!

So here I am skiing! This was probably my 4th time EVER on ski's. I have stopping issues. I usually had to fuss and cuss at my skis to get them to stop! All in all...had a really good time.
The guy I'm talking to was my instructor Ed. For a set fee, you can rent all your equipment and a 2 hour group lesson. but go during the week, and chances are, you'll end up getting a private lesson!





This is a picture from my second trip up to Dodge Ridge. I was supposed to go with my friend, Sumei, but she hurt herself right before we were supposed to go. The hotel was already paid for....so off I went.
Ed "snuck" us onto a ski lift higer than our lift tickets actually would allow. So, this is me on an intermediate slope!
You'll notice I'm not wearing a hat....it was to warm! I bought a ear-covering headpiece, and that was enough! Until the next day! The next day was cold, wet and snowy! Eight inches of powder (when I first got there that is....it kept snowing all day!). Ok...so, POWDER is supposed to be a GOOD thing in skiing right? WRONG! The only thing it's good for is making a soft landing when you fall flat on your hiney (face, knees, hip!). Give me good-ole' machine groomed snow!
